Davidson’s ( item #70677) was chosen as the marketing arm for this rifle by Marlin so that it is available to the largest population possible.

These are not yet for sale but should retail around $250ish.    Reportedly, Tech-sights are already installed directly to the receiver instead of using the dovetail.    I am anxious to get my hands on one.

Interdasting... I'd like to handle one but doubt it will displace my 60.

Hellz ya. I just put tech sights on my brother 10/22 and they are nice. Plus I like that they are not using a rotary magazine.

The 795 is inherently more accurate than the 10/22.  Having to mount to the factory Marlin  tip-off rail was always a negative.  This takes care of that.    I am waiting for word on any trigger improvements.

Will it be free floated or at least sorta free floated with a rigid stock. A flimsy non-floated stock would kill the intended sling useage.

Past Experience at Appleseeds dictates that So long as you do not make a tourniquet on your arm, it works fine.

I'd buy one for $250 for sure!

Wonder when they'll become available

795 is great,I love mine. Pretty darn accurate for what I have into it.

Are the Marlin rimfires still good to go? Seems like I heard a lot of horror stories of Marlin having problems once Freedom group took over. I like the looks of the LTR and would be interested in one for sure.

It's perfect.

Even though I already have a 10/22 with tech sights and a web sling, I'll have to get one of these Marlins sometime, once availability has settled.

That'll just be a nice excuse to keep my 4x scope mounted to the 10/22 with the marlin dedicated to irons.

All the pics so far show the regular dovetail mount model of Tech sights installed.

I will be buying one, if for no other reason than to have an Appleseed edition rifle in my collection.
