body armor for everyone is what i say. if you can afford it, so be it. if you can't, hey, here's some financing to help you along. all good. if aaron's rents can make a business renting toasters and coffee pots to people, these unwashed masses should be able to afford body armor as well

I'm one of those people, but I don't think I make enough either.  I would be interested if the higher end companies would do such a program then I would be interested.  I bought a set of level 3 plates from AR500 when they first came out.  Its all I can afford and it is heavy as hell.  I'm keeping them but would like to have that as a spare so I can upgrade to a lighter solution.

I've read here a few times that these plates are actually Hesco plates that have been rebranded as AR500. Something to look into.

AR500 is almost the cheapest brand out there. It'd be hard to spend all that much on their site comparatively speaking. An entire 4 piece set of AR500 plates don't cost as much as one Dyneema plate.
