Who makes the best hearing protection covers? These will be for a pair of Impact Sports.

I have seen OC Tactical and SOE making them. Anyone else?

Tempted to go with OC Tactical so I don't have to wait for SOE's lead time.

Do they really seem to make your hearing protection that much more comfortable and breathable or is this just Chairborne Operator tacticool bullshit?

I do not have a small head but have been thinking (a few years) about getting something like this to push the headband up a bit.
Seems like they work/fit better the farther down the cups sit. They don't get bound up where the wire comes together. H/L

But then I think, "I am not paying >$20 for a band for my muffs!"

Head On Tactical

The ones from Griffin Industries are made by OC Tactical.

I got mine for less than $20 from US Tactical Sewing. The cover greatly increases comfort- both for padding and breathability.

How is the quality of the OC Tactical ones? About to pull the trigger on one.

Cool. I just ordered one. Mike from OC Tactical has been helpful in answering questions via e-mail. Here's to hoping their product is as good as their customer service.

For what it's worth for those reading: Mike from OC Tactical thinks that their OD color most closely matches the green on the typical Howard Leight Impact Sports. I will update this post when I get it.

Samsies.

I thought the wraps were gear queer at the highest level until I tired one.

They are very beefy, and great if you don't wear a hat. They don't allow Howard Leight Impact Sports to fold up either.

I agree on the beefiness. Sometimes they might be a tad too beefy.

Love mine. I honestly can't remember who made it (and entirely too lazy to go downstairs to find out right now).

Buy em!

Got the OC Tactical ones yesterday.

Their OD color matches the Howard Leight Impact Sports pretty well.

Quality of stitching and material looks good.

Now.. to test them out!

The Head On Tactical cover still allows them to fold, where as the OC Tactical would not.

That's what I have on my Howard Leights. Super comfy, and they do let the muffs fold up unlike the other one mentioned.

Now, all you need are some Brownell's hearing muff covers to complete the ensemble!  Those are stupendously comfortable on a hot sunny day at the range!

Have this cover on my Peltors. Still fold up for storage and make an 8 hour day in muffs seem plesant, especially with the gel ear cups.

My OC Tactical ones allow my Howard Leights to fold up 90% of the way. Plenty to throw them in my range bag and not have them get destroyed.
