UHMWPE armor vs 7.62x39mm Norinco steel core FMJ

https://youtu.be/MoKJBDTyjc4

A lot of folks asked for this one. Steel core 7.62x39mm from a 20 inch SKS fired at an RF1 (similar to NIJ level III) in conjunction UHMWPE plate with no soft armor backing. Which wins? You know the drill. Place your bets before watching the video. No cheating.

I can't wait for the day when I can get a 2.8 pound plate that has a lvl 4 rating stand alone and it as affordable as the lvl 4 plates are now.

That may be possible some day, but it will require materials that aren't in common use today.

I was surprised at the relatively slow speed even out a 20" barrel
