A couple years ago, I built up a banshee.  At the same time, I was going to buy a war belt but never did.  It was between the infidel and another belt.  The other belt had a black rubber/grippy inner surface that prevented it from slipping around.

This ringing any bells??

Is there anything better that's surfaced in the last couple years or is the infidel and this belt I'm thinking of still the go to options?

Thanks

Hsgi has a rubber inside. It doesn't breathe but it also won't move with heave gear, I like mine a lot.

HSGI or Crye... I like the Crye better personally.

I think they have soft armor inserts for the Crye. In case you get shot in the hips with a pistol *shrugs*

That is an option I did not go with.  I can see how it might be useful for military guys... not sure if its fun to get fragged in the hips/lower back.

I've used mine hiking around here and out in the desert and never found the lack of breathability to ever surface as a problem. I will continue to recommend this belt, and HSGI's service is top notch.

EMT,
I know that all of the belts mentioned
above, are highly recommended by a
lot of people, but I would like to encourage
you to try the Infidel by US Grunt Gear.

I was lucky enough to find his gear first
when I started looking for real milspec
gear to support my AR's & handguns
for classes, matches, range trips, etc.

His Infidel belts lock into position with
the hook & loop liner belt, that goes
though you belt loops and acts as
you normal belt. Then his padded
warbelt locks into place over that.
They are amazingly all day comfortable
and then some, paired with being
extremely versatile.

And made in America by a retired
Marine who stands behind his work.
His gear is well worth the wait.

Infidel Warbelt

When you call him, tell him I said hello.

John

Also, I found you 15% off.

I appreciate the info.  And a few years back I saw enough people recommend it that I all but pulled the trigger on this setup.  Still not sure why I didn't back then.  Probably money related issues.

However, after thinking about it, this setup really doesn't fit my needs in regard to how it is applied and functions.  Let me explain.  This is gear made for people that wear this stuff day in and day out right?  They put on their gear, go to work, and then take it off at the end of their day/shift/mission/etc. ...for the most part...right?  But that's not me, at least not during times that are otherwise normal.

This belt will be kept with my plate carrier and other gear.  When the need arises to put it on, I might not have the time to thread another belt, line up the outer belt with the inner belt and carefully press the two together.  I might just have time to grab it, put it around my waist and click the buckle shut.   Same goes for the carrier.  Throw it over my head, secure it, done.  Bad guys/threats aren't known for giving their victims a minute or two to get ready for the fight.

So the HSGI is it or one similar.

Thanks again
