I have looked through the gear and chest rig threads but don't really see what I am looking for.

I need ideas/suppliers for a (small) chest rig designed around a 9MM AR pistol build (using Colt and Metalform 32rd mags).

I love the OSOE Subgun Micro Rig http://www.originalsoegear.com/collections/micro-rigs/products/subgun-micro-rig but can't find it in stock anywhere.

I contacted SOE but they have no ETA on when the next run will be, if there will be a next run.

So, what do you have in the way of 9MM chest rigs?

ETA: current shipping/availability that is NOT airsoft is preferred.

Thanks Aeain. I am looking at that one. Seems heavy on the mags and only mags. But at least it is available.
I'm hoping to find something that has some mag capacity (four (4) preferred) as well as room for an IFAK and/or misc items.

I really really like the OSOE subgun rig. Seems like it fits everything I was looking for except it isn't available.

I may wind up going the way of a small modular rig like the HSGI AO rig with some TT modular MP5 mag pouches.

I think youd be better off getting a molle panel and mounting your own pouches

FistPeso - are you saying you run the HSGI AO chest rig with (extended???) pistol taco pouches for 32rd 9mm mags? Do you have any pics?

BFG makes an MP7/subgun rig and they have the same one in the Essentials Kit.  Other option as mentioned above would be to get your molle panel and add something like the HSGI Extended Pistol Tacos.

They have a four mag option with admin pouch and some additional real estate.

If you will search Sootch00's YT channel
you can find the vid on the custom 9mm
chest rig that Robert at US Grunt Gear
built for me. Top shelf quality & attention
to detail. He will build it anyway you want.
His gear is well worth the wait.

If so, it looks very much like one that Robert makes standard now (minus the MOLLE overlay). http://www.usgruntgear.com/subgunco4mar.html

I'm thinking about the same thing for carbine matches.  So far my thoughts have been to get a small rig like a SORD freefall, put 4x extended pistol tacos on it and a BOK and call it a day.

I wouldn't mind a pistol mag pouch that had molle on it to add an actual small pistol pouch to the front, my gun takes Glock mags and I wouldn't mind having a couple G17 mags on it as well.

I had him add the molle. He did
that with no extra charge & I
only went 4 wide.

Thompson,
 That's it. I couldn't
get to YT today at
work to verify.

Later!

My thought is that if you can't find something, assemble something of your own to test the concept.

Sorry for the cell pic...

While not for an AR, I used Eagle m9 extended mag pouches and an old 5.11 chest panel.
My only complaint about my 9mm setup is the chest panel is a little floppy but it does breathe well.

=)

That setup from usgruntgear looks pretty sweet!

If you send Robert a magazine for your platform,
he will custom fit the pouches.

Gotta say I'm blown away that nobody's mentioned the Blue Force Gear Ten-Speed.  Especially since it's almost half-price at BFG's website.

WOW!!  I was about to pull the trigger on the U.S. Grunt model but at $58, the BFG seems like a no brainer.  I just can't decide on color.

I mentioned it.  Actually bought several the other day when they were so cheap.

The Coyote is pretty dark from them.  I can upload a picture of mine in Coyote if you want.

Please.  And what is the method of retention on those?

Robert uses a padding in the back panel
that adds tension to the mags. It works
very well without being hindered by
straps or other retention devices.

Well I'm an idiot.  I put off making my order, got involved with the kids and other things, which means I missed the boat on the BFG sale.
