Does anybody know if there is an ECWCS version of the boonie cap? The only one I could find was a truspec one that looks like it has a double size brim on it.

It seems like something like this should exist.

Nikiwax on my nyco cap does not seem to do the trick.

Yeah waterproof boonie would be silly. Best to have a waterproof jacket with the hood up if you are concerned about staying dry

I don't like wearing a hood because it restricts my peripheral vision. Why would a waterproof cap be silly?

I've seen a Multicam one before. Let me take a look around.

Edit: I'm almost 100% positive it was Arc'teryx, but I can't find it anywhere.

You mean the Truspec ones leak? That's not good...I finally just ordered one of those. I could only find it in woodland. That's OK, I'll rock it old-school!

Does it have to be a boonie? I have a Filson tincloth hat that keeps the rain off enough to smoke a cigarette in a downpour

Cabela's Gore-Tex Boonies FTW.

Cabela's Gore-tex Boonie

has performed flawlessly for 5+ years now.   Mine is in the Realtree pattern and works good as a system with my M-65 Jacket for hunting and general outdoors stuff.

That's the one I was thinking of! I guess it wasn't Arc'teryx that made it.
