Got mine in 2012 from SKD as well. Served me well in AFG for 3 years and then many years LARPing around until I moved on to a JPC 1.0 a few years back too. Added tubes to my Banshee and also my JPC.

Only reason I upgraded was to lighten things up some (new plates, etc as well) and switch to MC from coyote.

Sold my whole Banshee set up to a buddy for basically what I had into it (PC, Esstac mag pouches, IFAK, etc), years later.

I've had it for 10+years. It sounds better than the Surfires back then and still gets compliments. The NT4 is a beast. It may weigh 6oz more than the latest and greatest but it holds up to to the obuse. I always get compliments on its "tone" which I mention a lot.

DBL TAP...

Anyone who discounts th NT4 is a clown. The Suppressors can hold up to tons of abuse. Plus, they sound better than most. Period.

Or more practice lol. I have 150. 1 in the gun, 1 one the belt, 3 on my plate carrier. Let's say a small group puts you in a bad situation (5 people), If you blow through 120 rounds.... yikes. Either use rounds to cover your escape, or put down bad guys. High group counts of 10 people or more.... well maybe you stumbled into a blm rally and should not have been there in the first place. NFAC? Same story, stay home. Patrolling stateside? Keep more ammo in the vehicle and replenish your carrier as necessary.

*This is only my thought process and opinion. I am already a bigger person and do not want to carry a ton of shit.

It will actually be 160 rounds total. I think, for a guy north of half a century and not exactly in shape, probably more than I can use. Still happy to have it.  Kangaroo pouch works great and North American Rescue Mini IFK left side. All I have to do is order another set of shoulder pads - I lost one during the emergency move last month.

Old one redone for best friend with the 2 mag panel I pulled off the other one. CAT tourniquet and ersatz medical kit until I can buy another Mini IFK. Only doubled up IIIA soft armor inside but better than bare skin. I ha e no idea where the side panels disappeared to, but the buckles should hold it in emergency use until Incan locate another cummerbund setup.

Edit to add - mags reversed now. Whoops.

Sorry for the late reply, I could not find the First Spear Tubes separately so after a bit of looking went with these:

Tan ROC 80 buckles

Been working fine, just shot the Finnish military reserve 3-gun nationals with the carrier + other gear on.

Was 5th/51 shooters in the gear class and 17th/178 shooters overall ( fudged up a couple of shotgun stages and some other not so good performances , easy chance to be in the medals and higher also in overall )

Some footage here:

Nice work in the match!

How did you attach those buckles? Sew them in? It seems like the least expensive route for tubes is about 80-90 dollars. If you’re paying someone to modify a carrier with those, seems like it would be the same. I’m curioushow these work.

Made simple hook/loop sandwiches, sewn by hand, so yes pretty cheap.

The lower buckle is for the Velocity 24H pack strap, that I have rigged with G hooks on the front of the carrier.

Goal:

QD, Lightweight and Streamlined.

Convert JP 2.0 to a Tubes skeletonized cummerbund while eliminating the thick double-sided Velcro panel that anchors the male side of the Tubes buckle.

Components:

Spiritus Molle Tubes Cummerbund
Shaw Concepts ARC Placard V2
Shaw Concepts 556 Triple Insert
FirstSpear Tubes Field Repair Kit (purchased through Shaw Concepts)

Here is the piece (2) that I want to get rid of:

Agreed... Nothing I have tried matches the comfort. I like it so much, I'm about to unload the JPC 2.0 project and work on optimizing my 6094A for placard use. I'm wanting a placard for M4 mags and one for my MPX setup.

Too late to turn back now...

6094 was the first plate carrier I was ever issued, and I’ve also been issued the JPC 1.0 and 2.0. Not a big fan of either version. I’ll stick with the 6094 until it falls apart.

I'm very impressed with my minimal Slickster setup.  I did about 15 hours of rifle & pistol CQB type training with CETS this weekend in the hot, humid South Texas afternoons, and it was solid.  Comfortable on my shoulders even with no pads, the elastic cummerbund kept it secure, and it was much less stifling than I expected.  It actually breathes pretty well.  Overall, if you're going for a minimal setup, I'm a big fan.  It was super dusty, dirty, rocky and uneven where we were, and we rolled around on our backs, sides, and stomachs a bunch.  Slickster really did great.

It's a medium Slickster with L210 plates.  Stock setup with the addition of their Turnover triple mag shingle. It weighs 14.5 pounds with three full PMAGs.

The proof of concept front flap delete on my LBT-6094A went better than expected. I carefully cut the seams and nothing on the carrier was cut or torn. Found a High Ground Gear triple mag shingle insert and some KYWI inserts in one of my parts bins and mated it up with the Shaw Concepts ARC Placard V2.

I didn't have a Swiftclip adapter for the 6094 so I temporarily rigged up some Velcro OneWrap to a couple of ITW QASMs and threw everything together. Removing the front flap (5 layers of material) on the PC really slimmed it up.

Attachment Attached File

Now that I know this will work, I went ahead and ordered a MSM QASM VERTICAL ATTACHMENT KIT and a Shaw Concepts Elastic 556 Placard V2. This will take care of my 5.56 needs. For my MPX setup, I'll use the Shaw Concepts ARC Placard V2 and a Spiritus Submachine Gun Magazine Insert.

Deodon ASS from Esstac in Multicam with medium placard.  I believe they no longer make this model.  Plates are Hesco 3810’s.  I do most of my shooting/training with this set up and I’ve been very happy with it.  I also have a 7.62 placard for AK mags when needed.

For fun, I’m experimenting with a backup “slick” carrier. This is the T-Rex Arms AC1 and Hesco L210 plates.

And to compare against the AC1, I just purchased a Ferro Concepts “Slickster” and added an Esstac placard.

I don’t like having anything buckled to the back of my PC as I’m usually in and out of vehicles a lot. If I need more than the cases of water in the truck or am going to be away for a bit I’ll just put a throw a Camelbak on. If I need to carry stuff I just put the Camelbak in my ruck or assault pack.

I'm doing something similar, but with the Agilite AMAP3 instead.  It's a nice pack, and a good deal larger than the Flatpack, which is a blessing and a curse.  Biggest issue with the AMAP with a bladder or anything in it, is that it interferes with my sling setup, whereas a Flatpack doesn't cause any real issues.
