Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.

LArifleMAN,
I saw your pics on page 100 of the old gear porn thread. The gear looks good but I would definitely move that dump pouch away from above your pistol. That could cause a big problem. ...unless you are removing that dropleg all together because you will only be issued a rifle on deployment. |

We are getting pistols for the deployment, they issued them to us a month ago specifically for that reason. |

How do you like the WarLord? so far i like it. i will admit that i haven't had a lot of time to run it. busy work schedule and dealing with a divorce. i run my AK mags in it. and if i put 8 loaded AK mags in it, it is really heavy and needs a counter balance. which is my next step.(hydration) |

Cool man thanks. I always wondered about those, and didn't know anyone that ran one. I can see how it would get a little unbalanced without anything on the back.

The thing is huge and will hold 2 3liter bladders easy! i can run 8 mags but thats alot of weight up front. only down fall is the damn straps, it is a bitch to toss on fast. here is an extra crappy pic old HSGI warlord(no clue what model) maybe the HSGI guys will know. 1x sds prc125 pouch- holds radio, gloves etc, 1x dbl BHI m4/ak pouch. 4 x 47' mags in the extra space i have 2 combat dressings. 1x maxpedition cocoon( may swap spots with the ummp) 1xHSGI ummp 2x47' mags- may put it next to the BHI, stacked TT nade pouches- hold 2 x izzy dressings and my CAT kbar TDI and pin on compass. HSGI hydration pouch BHI compass/strobe line one is osoe cobra with BOK, 2x pistol mags and my eagle drop leg. need a dump pouch. im still working kinks on whats inside, how it rides. I was jogging with it each AM, but found it bounces a tad to much on my "gut" and i get running cramps from it. Hey im trying to go from LSHD to HSLD |

Yea I figured it was a personal rig. I'm in the process of getting back in, in a reserve unit and while im not really big on MC I would like to try using some MC stuff to break up all the coyote stuff.

Yaesu
Hey I have a Yaesu vx-7R that I just picked up. I don't have my tech license yet but I am studying. I noticed the extended antenna on your Yaesu. Forgive my Noob-ness, but what is that antenna(model number etc.?) And do you notice dramatic reception performance. Also do you use your Yaesu for Hamming or for unit to unit comm's? Thanks in advance for any advice you could give. |

Get your tech, comms are just below first aid in necessity. Its a good radio for what I want it to do and can take a beating. |
