Standard choked and ribbed barrel, no serial "pre 68" about 65-70% condition, butt plate is fubared.

Paid $140, should I sell it for parts or cerakote  and chop to 18?

Saw a Westernfield (mossberg 500) today at a pawn shop. Has a selcta-choke barrel. Couldn't decide between that or another stevens 520 or an older Remington model 11. All around $150 or less.

I'd be all over that 520 or Model 11 at $150. 11's are usually north of $250 around here and I don't think I've ever even seen a 520/620

I don't know that I'd chop the barrel as opposed to just picking up a new one. But yes, cerakoat it and shoot it.

I'm kicking myself right now for not picking up a 16 gauge Model 11 Remington for $189 not too long ago..

I've seen a few here and there, but I just can't commit to a 16 gauge in a semi. Something about the round makes me want it in a double though . . . .

Having grown up with 12's and 20's, I never had much attraction to the 16.
Kinda like the 28. I've got a .410 and 20, what can it do that they can't?
