Finally finished my Remington 870MCS build.

Originally purchased from Impact Guns a few years ago, it came with the 10'',14'',18'' barrels.
I tracked down the 11'' breacher barrel a few months ago from Botach to finish off the barrel set.

Today I completed the LED lights in the forend as only sold with the "Breacher" package.
I heavily researched the setup based on pictures from people selling them.
Remington would not help me.
The LED lights are the Micro Light I by Photon.
I custom made some screws (cut and blued) and counter drilled the lights to make for a cleaner finish.

Very nice.  Me and my son like the 870 MCS.  He carried one in Iraq in 04' and I had 3 of them in Astan in 09-11'.

I cut my 870 down to that size and really want one of those pump handles.  Remington told me NO several times.  I took a ton of pics of one at SHOT and hope to make one or 3D print one.

I never could understand why Remington says "NO" in regards to the MSC system and it's components?

So much so that I am sure you folks know that they will not even sell the holster or "SRD (Shotgun Retention Device)" made under contract with Bladetech?

I wonder what is behind the thinking of the decision makers at Remington?

Any thoughts on why are greenbacks are not accepted for certain items at Remington?

Cheers

it may be part of a mil contract and with that come all sorts of odd rules, I would love the handguard but trying to order one is like trying to buy a nuclear submarine.

the 10" and 11" barrels seem to be the same length or is the breacher permanently attached?

I even work for an SOT and do police gun workf for the local PD and they would only sell me the pump handle if were doing warranty repair on a gun.  They used to sell the parts years ago, several people on Shotgunworld.com had bought them.  I almost grabbed a suit wearing booth monkey at SHOT and asked him but figured I'd get the same answer.

Here's mine, before refinishing the barrel.

The barrels are approximately the same size but the breacher has a threaded barrel for both the stand-off and muzzle break. That extra threading on the outside of the BBL makes it a touch longer.

I also tracked down and purchased the SRD for my 870MCS. I don't have anything to attach it to and it's a little bulky/stiff to use but it rounds out the collection. For now it just sits in the safe.

The SRD for my 870 MCS.
Bulky and hard to use, but it's part of the package.
Not sure how one would attached this to a belt and have it not wobble all over the place.
Maybe I don't have the right kind of belt.
Not sure why they spelled "device" wrong on the package...

Backing looks like it goes onto a MOLLE belt.  Didn't have those back in the 90s when I was a breecher.

For anyone looking for one of these. They had one at the Acme sports in Seymour Indiana last week.
