Yeah, I think I might grab a wingmaster. I wonder if any will be old enough to be C&R
|
|
Email I got back from him said they're just needing boxed up but boxing a thousand shotguns might take some time..... not an exact quote but close

If you were looking mostly for a few project shotguns, is there any valid argument to spend the extra $140 for the 870P.... I was planning to get one of each but now I'm leaning towards just getting a few of the wingmaster's

Well, looks like I found some groomsmen gifts Plus two for myself.

try to get one with the flexitab upgrade, the parts are available from Remington but its at least $60 and availability is spotty. Plus the parts will be made to Remington 2015 quality standards and will seem sub-standard to the originals.
http://rifleshooter.com/2015/03/remington-870-flexitab-system-and-parts-identification/ I tested a Wingmaster before the upgrade, if you are ejecting a fired shell and there are additional rounds in the magazine after the jammed round, you are SOL... If jammed round is the last round in the gun, you can can make it work with a little extra force. |

I tried searching what's the main difference between the two. View Quote http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_1/177796_Difference_between_a_Remington_Express_and_a_Police_Magnum__Wingmaster_Post_By__dfariswheel_Added.html The tacked thread above covers it fairly well |

I'm in for a Wingmaster if I can get one optioned how I want.

The only issue I have with Summit when purchasing from a group is his grading system. "Nice" can mean everything from dragged behind a car to like new condition. Fortunately the owner has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and is a stand up guy.,

I was hoping for another 870P with wood to go with the one I already have.
He told me these are going to be synthetic, and most have rifle sights. He's not sure about them having the tube extension. I purchased my 870P for $250 about three years ago. |

A few friends and I just got 590A1s with 14" barrels, rifle sights, and surefire forends for $275 shipped.
Police trade in are the way to go. |

wow thanks for the link. Thinking of picking up two. You can never have too many pump actions!
|
|
Are they up for sale yet? I email last week putting my name on this list but I didn't think they were in yet.

Damn, all with rifle sights. That might throw a wet blanket on my SBS idea.
Again, thanks for the overwhelming response to this pile of guns. Here is the latest information I have on each listing. This is all that I know at this time. These guns will ship to us on June 8th and should be here on the 10th.

I was thinking about swapping a few barrels around and making it work.
Truthfully, I was expecting the sight length on a 14" barrel to be about the same as a 1911.. Your picture makes it look good, so that could work, too. |

I'd have gone with ghost ring but they slow me down a touch and I'm not trusting someone to install them on an NFA receiver. I've seen quite a few installed crooked. I figured this was a safe compromise. |

Thank you for the heads up! I emailed him the other day. Getting a Wingmaster.
|

Did anyone ever get confirmation when they e-mailed through the system?

I just ordered two Police Mags. By "ordered", I mean payment, FFL info, etc. Mark contacted me directly, so it looks like he is starting through his list today. I emailed him to get on the list on May 3rd.

I'm tempted but I'll wait to see how they look. In my area transfer fees are $50, which sucks.
|
|
After shipping, 3% for cc, and transfer I'm looking at $215 a piece. ..... I'm excited to see how they turn out!
|
|
Anyone think the police magnum would/would not make a good SBS? Probably just have it cut back past the first set of rifle sights?
