Was wondering if anybody has experience with this relatively new Beretta model, and how it compares to the M2 or M4 as a defensive shotgun?

Several guys in the 3 Gun crowd are using the 1301 and finding it to be extremely reliable.

Gas guns need a bit more attention in cleaning to stay reliable (vs. the inertia guns) but have some advantage in lower recoil, cycling in less than good shouldering holds, etc.

Thanks, I think I read somewhere that the 1301 competition & 1301 tactical are a bit different, with the comp being built around a 3 1/2" receiver, and the tactical around a 3" receiver.
