How do you like the bolt release? I've been thinking about getting one but wanted to get some user feedback first.

I never liked the PG stocks on these so I went old school. Took forever to find a straight stock for this! http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd74/eyegun/null_zpse5667432.jpg View Quote I like that! Man, it was tough to find one of these.
I was on a few 'notify my' lists and they all started emailing me maybe 6 months ago. I can't remember where I got this one but you may have some luck on gunbroker or even google search (doubt google will be productive). Just keep your eyes open is all I can say. |

Much cleaner without the empty rail!
My rail will be coming off tonight.... |

Thanks for the link on the fixed stock. Gonna pick one up as well. Where are you guys finding the factory C-stocks? I refuse to pay $600 for a +/- $150 stock (LE price). My M4 has sat bone stock for 2 years. If carriercomp ever gets on their game and starts actually putting out enough product to fulfill the demand I'll buy one of their mag tubes some day too...

Here's mine, I'm still not to the point that I trust it enough to keep bedside, it lives in the safe.
I bought it in 2006, and took it to a five day shotgun class. Fourth day during the night shoot it wouldn't cycle. The reason is that the left piston broke into two pieces. To make a long story short, it took moving a mountain to get a new piston from Benelli. It's the four port barrel. The parts are oversize charging handle, oversize safety, and Mesa Tactical picitinny rail. |

View Quote They've gotten harder to find in recent years. This is mostly due to the sporting shotgun scare from a ATF a few years back. I got mine from Botach Tactical when LAPD sold off their stocks. I paid $230 back in 2010. The best way is to check GB, or the Benelli forums. There's also now plenty of aftermarket stocks. Years ago the M4 had very few accessories. |

I'm just picking one up through their LE program. Should be in within the next month. Otherwise...this looks like a viable option although I'd normally avoid Promag. Looks like a viable opportunity if the dealer I'm going through doesn't get a stock in... http://promagindustries.com/shotgun-tri-rail-forearms/324-benelli-m4-collapsible-stock-tactical-forend.html |

amazon has a guy selling the benelli stocks for over 500 though.

Had one, sold it, then bought another. I'll use the promag and mod it if necessary to work properly before I pay $500 for a factory one (if the LE purchase doesn't work out...) |

Question:
Can all your M4 guns be “ghost loaded” (without making any alteration to the bolt carrier)? |

Question: Can all your M4 guns be “ghost loaded” (without making any alteration to the bolt carrier)? Yep...... Drop the bolt on a empty chamber.
Fill the magazine to its max capacity. holding the gun firmly pull back the bolt just far enough that you can push a round under the bolt on to the plate. then put another round in the chamber |

Fill the magazine to its max capacity. holding the gun firmly pull back the bolt just far enough that you can push a round under the bolt on to the plate. then put another round in the chamber Thanks The reason I asked the question is because several years ago Benelli altered the bolt carrier on the M2 and SBE II guns so they could not be “ghost loaded” (without making a simple little modification). I was curious if the M4 got the same treatment. |

Posting mine, too, although I never shoot the darn thing and threw it on the EE. M4 owners will fight to the death over that black carriercomp charging handle hand carriercomp top tail.

I'm still hoping to add a M4 to my Benelli fanboy collection.

I'm looking to do something similar. Hard to tell, but is there a light on the other side? Thank you. Yes, I have a SF M300 mounted in a Thorntail. It's adaquate for my needs. I wish SF would go ahead and figure out a way to boost the M300 up to 500(+) lumens. On my 870, I have an X300U and absolutely love it. Thinking hard about switching it over to this weapon. I'll take a few pics from the other side tonight and upload them here for you. |
