The front sight comes with an epoxy much like JB weld...and to install the rear sight you have to drill and tap the receiver.

Knoxx makes it.  They call it the Power Pack.

Have you shot that set up yet?

Uhhh...Thats a nice Blue Force sling up front, but what are you going to do when the barrel heat melts that ballistic nylon right off your magazine tube?

Bored and hungry for bait at the moment, so:

Have you shot that set up yet?

Yes, often.

Uhhh...Thats a nice Blue Force sling up front, but what are you going to do when the barrel heat melts that ballistic nylon right off your magazine tube?

Uhhh...in the unrealistic event that that ever happens, IM/e-mail you and beg for advice?  Your question is asinine unless you have actually experienced a melted Blue Force attachment that is the same as mine mounted in the same place on the same model gun after several magazines worth of rounds fired in various successions, as mine has without attachment failure.

This is a picture thread and I didn't see a pic in your post.  If you have a problem with mine and have something worthwhile to offer as comment, let's take it up in IM.

He has 23 rounds on the gun. One would presume that the reason he has so much on the gun is because he does not carry additional ammo in a vest, pockets, or via another method. If he did, he wouldn't need so much on the gun itself.

Even if he did carry more elsewhere, the odds of him getting the barrel hot enough to burn a sling off of the magazine tube are probably about the same as his odds of winning the lottery twice.

This 870 started out as a $150 police magnum trade in.  It looked like this when I got it.  Now it looks like this.

beaniam.com/guns/870surefire2.JPG

Here's my baby.  This started out as a $180 used express magnum.  I spent a couple months and several hundred dollars turning it into my rendition of an airforce M870.  BTW the wood on that is the wood that came on the police 870 up ^^ there.  Elbow grease made it pretty.

What issues, please describe.  I've encountered none so far.  My RAS is on and is not just "cosmetic".  If I can improve the mounting, I will.
