I have a custom built 22 LR 1911 using the Kimber conversion kit.

I hate that there is no last round hold open on the Kimber mags.

Is there another 22LR 1911 mag that does have last round hold open.

Can't say what will work with a Kimber but I have a Sig .22 conv. on an old Essex frame. The mag that came with the conv unit works great- feeds anything and slide locks open on last round. I purchased two extra mags from German Sport Gun (GSG.COM) for around $29.00 each. might be just what you need. Go to Rimfire central- much to read on .22 1911 style handguns

Kimber says (and I agree) you should not have last round hold open on their slides. The soft slide material will get damaged over time by the steel slide stop of the frame repeatedly slamming against it.

Side note: the 1911 22 promags work fantasti in the kimber conversions. I have 10 of them.

It may be a fundamental element of the design and a different mag may not help. Count to ten. I have a great Wilson combat conversion kit ( it is actually a rebranded marvel- considered one of the best conversions out there) and it does not hold open on empty either.
