I dont think that stuff will cycle in any semi auto.

They eject about 1/2 in mine, other 1/2 stovepipes. Won't take much of a weaker spring to make them fully cycle.... Can you buy a new spring assembly? If so I'd attempt to modify mine.

M&P is one of the few i haven't seen new springs or rods offered for i guess partially cause its already a metal guide rod. Might have to go through S&W directly for a new spring. |

Wolff has reduced power recoil springs for the full sized M&P 9mm, 40 S&W and .357 Sig but not .22LR. Looks like Wolff recoil springs must be used with a Wolff guide rod.

Noticed that the recoil springs(there are two) can easily be removed from the guide rod... Anybody ever try using only one of the springs? If so which one?

I tried it today... With only the stronger of the two springs it still doesn't cycle cci quiets. With the weaker of the two it always ejects the case but the spring isn't strong enough to strip the next round from the magazine and the slide hangs up on the way forward.
