I love my .22/45 mk III, but absolutely hate cleaning it.     The magazine safety is a pain, and only complicates the disassembly process.     Anyone have any suggestions for the necessary parts to rid my gun of the mag safety, and add a quick takedown latch?

I've never done the quick take down latch but all of my 22/45s have a MKII bushing in them. That replaces the mag safety and makes take down and reassembly easier.

I'd recommend swinging by Tandemkross's website. When I started modifying my MKIII 22/45 lite. They were getting a lot of my business. The first parts I tried were their Loaded chamber indicator delete kit, and the mag safety removal bushing.

Their site allows you to search by the model of your gun, I'd swing by and see what they offer.

Indeed, I went with the Volquartsen trigger but, if I had it to do over, I would opt for the TK part.

I have the volquartsen sear and a clark trigger, but getting rid of the mag safety and adding the speed strip kit made it a fun pistol.
