$37.50 as a kid from 5 cents a bushel potato picking money in about 1960. One case of Remingtom .22LR 40 RN Golden Bullets #1522 each year after year. 6" one. Less barky. At around 100,000 rounds trigger mushy and ejector rivet loosened. Still worked because bolt guides ejector. Retired gun.
Fast forward 2013. Sent to Ruger. Totally rebuilt and refinished.
New, worn out, and rebuilt: it does not ever malfunction other than a dead primer every brick or three. CCI MiniMags still work 100%. I quit buying Remington after quality tanked 2006-2007.
The picture: Very accurate, very ergonomic, and the most dependable 22 at any price. Go ahead. Try to wear it out.
Mags are simply the nine (9) shot ones.
