I picked up a used Browning 1911-22 Compact a couple weeks ago for $309 at my favorite LGS. Sent the slide/barrel assembly to ADCO to be threaded and it was back in my hands in exactly a week. I haven't shot it yet, but it looks good. It balances very nice. Can't wait to shoot it.

Browning offers factory threaded 1911 22 models now...
...although, this particular model spits blowback like nobody's business. |

I had mine threaded as well because browning did not offer a threaded version back then. Mine also has crazy blow back. Very unpleasent to shoot suppressed. But it does look good with the can.
