I have seen a few questions wondering if a Ruger Standard, Mk I, Mk II or Mk III will fit in a P08 Luger holster.  I have attached photos of my Standard with a 4 3/4 " tapered barrel in a new replica P08 Luger holster I purchased from SCHIPPERFABRIK.  It fit quite nice maybe just a bit tall in the grip and the bolt touches the flap also but this will form around the gun in short order and some mink oil.  I purchased this holster for $33.71 + S&H.  It is very good quality for a reproduction holster.  This is my first posting.  I hope this helps all interested.

As a youngster the way a Ruger .22 looked like a Luger was fascinating to me. It is why, when I saw a nice MkII at the local shop for $169, I scooped it up quick. Damn good shooter as well. I may have to find myself a replica Luger holster now.

I wonder what one would look like in a Nambu holster.

I actually have a Type 14 Nambu holster on order right now (it should be arriving any day now).  I purchased a Type 14 Nambu pistol about 30 years ago and just now getting around to buying a holster.  I will try it and post photos when it arrives.

If I recall correctly, the MK pistols fit best in the Lahti holsters.

I think that my barrel is too long for any of these holsters. That Luger repro holster looks to be very good quality.

Had to show this one too.

To KS95B40,
My Ruger has the 4 3/4 inch barrel and the bolt almost touches the flap when closed.  The longer barrel Rugers and the bull barrel versions won't fit down into my holster.  There are holsters out there for longer barrel Lugers which would probably work well with your tapered barrel Ruger.
Good Luck,
Kevin

I received the Type 14 Nambu holster I ordered and tried to fit my Ruger Standard 4 3/4 inch barrel into it.  End result was it would not sit deep enough into the holster to close the flap.  There is some internal leather blocking which supports the Nambu which prevents the Ruger from going deep into the holster.
