Glad to see someone here willing to use mace.  (Disclaimer: I know it's not a mace, I said 'willing to use mace.' It's a joke not a precision comment.)

I knew there'd eventually be a 1911 I'd find that would make me want to put the Glock 19 away, I think this is it.

I took delivery of this recently. Charles Daly EFS 1911 .45 ACP.

we'll see how it is. i'm debuting it on wednesday. if it fires reliably, consistently and ACCURATELY...it's a keeper.

if not, i'll go with what i rented the other day, a kimber ss target II.

here's a pic of mr. daly :)

The gun arrived this morning and OMG!  Pics DO NOT do Chuck's work justice!  He is truely a master of his craft.  You can not really appreciate metalwork of this caliber until you see it in person.  One thing I do need some opinions on are grips.  The black/green Gunners aren't staying.  It's between black Gunners and a set of 1* Mil-Tac grips.  I kinda feel the Gunners belong on it due to the Golfball treatment and all. Here's a few pics I took this afternoon.

Ronnie,
I'll send you a PM with what was done.  The grips went back into my odds and ends box of spare grips and parts.  You could shoot it if you and Tracy would ever call me to go shoot!

Wow its beautiful just the way it is. I think you will find that after you refinish it it will be worth 1/2 to 1/3 of its current value.  I hope you reconsider.

Well, the gun originally cost me $299, plus spare parts, I'd say is a $400 parts gun. I'm not selling it; it'll look beautiful once it is parked.

Good buy!

Well if you insist.  Good luck and I hope all goes well.  Be sure to keep us up to date.  Can't wait to see it then.
