I found this .45 Star PS today. While not technically a M1911 it will pass for one.....and often did in movies because they could handle blanks better than a M1911.

They are not seen all that often because Garcia Sporting Arms, Wash., DC only imported them for a short while and less than 8K were ever made...Mostly in 1973.

If it's anything like the 9mm Star Super Bs it should be a excellent shooter. The down side is that extra mags are spendy.

Very nice.

Star made the first really small 1911-style gun that worked, the PD.  I still have mine.
