So based on the the court documents it looks like 4036 of them are out there and the government paid $1050 a piece for them.

I've got the "blue box" production model. A week ago I let a Marine, who provided paperwork satisfying me that he was indeed an official Jarhead, handle and shoot it.

Now, I'm reading here that my M45, having been touched by said Marine, just doubled in value.

Maybe post a thread over on SOCNET with your serial number and see if anybody contacts you about it?

I have a guest account over there so maybe I'll give it a shot once I get mine.

It's documented. I'm sure the Marine won't have the information, but I wonder if they can get it.
I'm sure if they were issued one, and found out about this thread, they would look into finding out how to discover what their serial number was

I bought mine Sunday morning (Saturday night in Missouri) that weekend they were for sale. People who ordered Friday and early Saturday have been receiving them. Our turn is coming I imagine.

My order was on Sunday afternoon. My GB info shows they have my payment and FFL. Their email said it would take 3-5 days from the time they received everything so hopefully tomorrow I will get tracking info. I already warned my FFL what was coming just in case.

Whats crazy is they are just putting it in some bubblewrap, putting it and the letter in a USPS box, and sending it down the road. Two stories of torn up boxes and damaged letters so far. I am hoping my box makes it in good shape and my FFL doesn't mess it up while he stores it until December.

I was so close to ordering one of these when they first went up for sale and wish I would have. The only thing that stopped me was that I bought a SS S70 repro and GCNM in the past two months and just didn't want to spend any more money.

Just checked my email when i got home and I have a tracking number for my evening of Sunday the 19th order. It says tomorrow by end of day. Hopefully that is the way it works out. Pics after I get it from my FFL.

I received mine today. I'm very, very happy. My ideal pistol I wanted would have wear but not exceedingly so and a rack number - and that's exactly what I received. Quite pleased. I only regret (greatly) not buying 1 or 2 more. Earl
