My S&W1911 needed a friend so I have paired it up with a RIA TAC1911.

They went the LB way and put a bushing barrel with their full rail.

Intradasting.

Went out to the range with my son so he can get some more trigger time with his S&W M&P Shield 9mm and to try out my new RIA yesterday - just to warm it up a little. Ran a few hundred rounds of 230 grain FMJ Winchester and Perfecta (local Wally World had it for $15/box).

She ran perfect! Trigger feels great right out of the box. It's hard to believe a sub $1,000 (I paid $600 new OTD) 1911 looks, feels, and runs this good.

I'd love to have one, but can't justify another 1911 at this point. I'll make do when I go visit my son, and shoot his Big Rock 10mm.

I was not planning on buying one at this time either (two kids in college right now so getting new toys is not at the top of my list), however I did clean out some old toys and with the help of craigslist money was burning a hole in my pocket.
