[#3]
I've owned both.
Professional hands down. I owned a nighthawk 10-8 in the past. Both nice. Professional is nicer |

[#4]
I have an NH GRP and a Heinie Tactical, as well as a Pro.
The NH has more "features", the Pro is smoother and tighter and more refined feeling. All have been reliable and, as far as accuracy goes, there's nothing in it; they're all better than me. If you can get one at around retail, $2600 or so, then it's a good chunk cheaper than a NH too. Springfield CS is unfaultable, NH, well, read the section over on 1911forum. Let's call it a mixed bag. Just to throw a monkey in the works, a Guncrafter No Name runs around the same as a Pro....Mine is rather nice and I would take it before a NH... |

I don't own a Pro but I own 2 TRPs and my close friend is issued a Pro with FBI SWAT.
Solid gun shoots great. I also have a Nighthawk Predator and that gun is a laser. Tough call for me too. |

[#9]
I'm going with Nighthawk, I own two along with Les Baers. Nighthawk all machined parts no mim or castings better finish and their customer service vastly improved lately. I bought mine used & saved considerable amount of money over new. Nighthawk will stand behind their products even if you're not the orginal owner. With that said I have a TRP & wouldn't mind a Pro someday.

I have never owned either one, but have handled a few of each.
With the Pro, you get the cachet of "HRT uses these." This translates into better resale value. Downside: it comes like it comes. No substitutions or variations. Nighthawk offers a near-infinite array of options, so if you're really dead set against (say) 20 LPI checkering, that's a tick in their favor. If the Pro works for you, I'd say go for it. |

I'd say NH and SACS are close enough to parity as makes no difference as far as workmanship is concerned. I know SACS has two APG members, Chambless and Williams (assuming they're both still there, I haven't spoken to either one in about 10 years). Say what you will about the APG but they do parse applicants' guns pretty thoroughly. |

My favorite NH was the 10-8. They can still build you one kinda like it. |

I personally dislike 20lpi checkering, but if I ever happen upon a Pro at a good price, I would probably whip the credit card out. They are really nice looking pistols.

The 15lpi 90deg on the Guncrafter No Names is not as sharp as the Pros 20lpi 60deg. It's very grippy without being as abrasive. |

I would prefer a Pro.
The only factory pistol I'd rather have over a pro is a Colt Special Combat Government. |

Get Both. It may take several years depending on your financial situation, but then the worst you have to decide is which one to get first.

Having sold and shot Springfield and Nighthawk I would go with the Pro.
I owned a Nighthawk for a day and now I own a Springfield Custom Carry. I'll refrain from bashing anyone. If Nighthawk has stepped their game up since I last paid attention (three years ago) then they'll both be great guns. The pro may keep its value better. |

Springfield Custom shop is one of the best kept secrets in the semi custom world. I would put my custom carry on par with Willson.
