You're not going to find a lot of votes for the S&W PC 1911 but not because it's a bad gun. It's new and there just aren't a whole lot out there but everything I have read from owners had me wanting one. I've not got to shoot one but I got to handle one and they are extremely well made. There was a gun show on TV recently that reviewed the gun and they mentioned there was a guy that test shot the gun with them and he said it was every bit as good as the high end brands at a much lower cost but they couldn't say his name because he worked for one of those high end 1911 manufacturers. After looking the S&W over I don't doubt his recommendation. All the S&W Performance Center guns are extremely good guns, I own a 629 V-Comp PC revolver that is absolutely fantastic. You can bet if it came out of the PC shop at S&W, it's well worth the money.
That said, I'd try to shoot each one first but that's rarely easy to do. I would buy anything out of the PC shop without a second thought or a test shoot, so, if it were me, out of those two, I'd get the S&W. Plus, it's a really, really good looking gun in my opinion.
