Have a Glock 40, have a suppressor, would like some sun sonic ammo for it. I heard Winchester used to make a 180gr that was subsonic, also read that perhaps most 10mm over 180 is subsonic? Any truth to that? Any ammo in particular that should look at?

The last 180gr 10mm I shot was over 1200fps.

I'd say handloading is your best bet.

If it is loaded anywhere close to max SAAMI pressure then all common 10mm bullet weights are supersonic in all but the shortest barrel lengths.  Even the caliber heavy 220gr loads are at about 1200fps.

Reloading would be the best way to get exactly what you want but there is a moderate time and money investment to make that happen.

10mm is not the direction to go in for a slower round.

While most factory 10mm is anemically loaded to 40 ballistics, even the 180s are not subsonic.

As stated:  hand or custom load.

What about .40 S&W? Is there an over the counter subsonic round for that?

I just picked up a g40 myself, first 10mm handgun. There's several articles stating that Glock 10mms can shoot .40 S&W since the extractor holds the case next to the bolt face. I've not tried it myself but might be your only option beyond reloading your own. I'm not aware of anyone remanufacturing 10mm subs. The 6" g40 barrel isn't going to help staying subsonic either.

As others have said real 10mm ammo ( vs reduced load)
Will be supersonic even in the 200 grain

The original specs for the first loads from Norma were a 200gr bullet at 1200 fps. Most ammo is loaded lighter these days but I would think handloading ( which is the only reasonable way to afford to shoot this caliber anyway) to reduce velocity would be the answer, but with the decreased recoil resulting from a lighter load and the extra weight of the suppressor function might get iffy

This is true, it does work. However not as reliable. Fine for at the range. Not anywhere else though.

I've loaded up some before with 200 grain Nosler bullets and #9 powder, forget the amount of powder used but they chronoed at just over 1000 fps

HSM sells 200grain flat nose fmj that zip along pretty good.
$25ish a box of 50.  Starline brass is a bonus
I hate the .357-.41-44mag comparisons since all of those are wheelgun rounds (exception D.E&Coonan)
10mm in a autoloader is just plain bad ass. My G20 goes with me in the woods in a chest holster and you can't beat that amount of firepower in such a small package.   I have quite a few Black Bear on my property especally May-July but 10mm is great for Meth heads as well.
My hope is that Sig will make a MPX 10mm (conversion)

^^^^^ This, just run 40's with 180's.

Kind of defeats the purpose to the 10mm round. My 180 grain rounds are going around 1300 FPS, which is awesome power, but super sonic and not going to suppress well. I much prefer 45acp 230 grain rounds for suppressors. That or 9mm 147-158 grain rounds for suppressors. I'm sure you could hand load the 10mm to be subsonic also, but I'd probably go heavier, like 220 grain rounds or something.

I have a few thousand rounds of Underwood subsonic 10mm. 180gr FMJ, 200gr FMJ, and 200gr XTP. 975 FPS. They were a custom load for a contract that never went through. Luckily I love 10mm and have a suppressor.

Very fun to shoot and very quiet out of an Osprey with a G20.

ETA Buffalo Bore 220 grain hardcast tactical low recoil is also subsonic!
