Been eyeing one for a while and a local shop has one looking to be lightly used with three mags for 525.  It's a two tone, which doesn't excite me that much but cerakote can fix that.   What's the Hive think on buying at 525+ tax?

In before the FN haters arrive.  Yes, it is a standout gun.  A good buy if the price is right.

I have an FNP 45, most accurate handgun I have shot.

700 new here and buds about the same.  So a decent discount.

If you have no want for TB/suppressor use, GO FOR IT. I had one *$625* when it was new but then I got the itch to get a can. Sold and bought Tac model used for $850

That was a good price.

My local shop has a great deal on a new tac but I can't bring myself.  Its the same size as my p226 with 20rd magazines.

I have a fnx tactical, its all red doted up and all. I honestly find shooting it kinda blah. I think i would like a 227 tactical better

Get it man, I love my FNP-45 Tactical. It's my current duty weapon now. It's a big gun with lots of firepower. Great suppressor host also.

I had one, had.....

Trigger was meh, heavy and bulky, whole thing left me unimpressed.

My FNP 45 has a super heavy DA trigger that really smoothed out well over time. The SA is fantastic.

The problem with the safety is if you sweep it hard, you decock the gun, so cocked and locked is often pointless.

I really like my FNX-45, It is a big gun but it's accurate and pleasant to shoot. That isn't a bad price when the market isn't exactly flooded with used FNXs or any other used gun for that matter.

Same here. I had a FNP-45 USG that I really wanted to like but kept having malfunctions. FN replaced it with a FNX that also had issues. Replaced that one with another FNX that looked good but I sold it since I was tired of dealing with them and prefer the Glock 21.

Got it, thanks for all the input!  I think I'm going to hold tight for a G21 or maybe a CZ97.
