It was marked "Izma" if I recall correctly, came with two single stack mags, trigger is DA/SA.  Anybody have any info or experience with this pistol.

IMEZ, maybe? That'd be a .380 Makarov. If that's what it is, at $99 I'd buy it all day and twice on Sunday.

If its an Imez Mak the dealer has no idea what he has if he priced it at $99.

Holy shit thats it, going back first thing hope he has it.  Would this be a surplus gun?

No, they were commercially made guns for export. The Soviets never used .380 in any military capacity. The surplus Soviet Maks are all in 9x18.

My dumbass should have bought it yesterday, its gone.  I see theyre going for $250 and up, I wouldn't give more than $99 as there are better choices at $250.  Oh well, didnt need it anyway.

I bought one of the IMEZ surplus .380 Makarovs many years ago. I think I gave like $159 20 years ago. Nice shootin little pistol; never jammed or FTF. I gave it to my oldest son, who still has it. To him, it's a family heirloom.

When a really good buy on a (legitimate) used firearm comes along you have to act quickly or someone else will.

What gets me is the astronomically high prices people ask for their used guns on Armslist. I have a habit of checking out the local gun ads on Armslist at least once a day just for entertainment (and the prospect of a good deal close by). It's amazing to me why people ask more for a used gun than you can buy new at the gun store. I guess maybe they hope someone who doesn't know any better will bite, or maybe someone who can't buy a gun legally at an FFL will pay their asking price.

Some local markets are higher then others. And some private sales sites are havens for fellons to buy guns. Like in FL there is no laws or guidelines for private sales. So some don't even ask "can you own a gun". And frequently you will see a used glock 19 for $700 bucks listed and in a few days its gone. Cause some fellon will pay it.

Back to the point of the thread however, ive been really wanting a 380 mak for a long time. I would creamed my shorts and threw down my $99 so fast.

I owned the high cap 9x18 version many years ago. It was a nice little gun.
