What's everybody's favorite pocket pistol in .380? I know people pocket carry small nines and bigger but they aren't really pockets. Neither is my glock 42. So between the bodyguard, lcp, taurus, kel tec, kahr, etc. what are the favorites here?

I do not need to compomise with 380 when I can pocket carry a sig 938.
LCP for several years now when other carry does not work. The 380 haters out there can hate, but show me somebody who wants to get shot in the chest with a 380.

Kahr P380 is true pocket-size when I simply can't carry anything larger.

I don't carry a .380
Why would you when options like the Shield, P938, and XDs are available for a minimal increase in size. My personal choice is a Shield in a DeSantis Nemesis ETA: My favorite 380 is the LCP, the P238 is awesome but for that much weight I'm going up to a 9mm |

Taurus really got it right with the TCP in terms of pocket .380s

I'll just keep my 32 instead of a 380. but the KelTec P32 is my choice

Quoted: Taurus really got it right with the TCP in terms of pocket .380s View Quote How about in terms of quality? Every Taurus product I've owned has been complete and utter garbage. And their CS has been totally useless every time I've had contacts with them. I like some of their designs, but their quality is so awful that I can't bring myself to trust them. Same thing with KT. Their CS is better but they still probably won't fix the problem since it's related to design and material quality. |

Only pocket pistol I own is a no-lock S&W 642. It's damn accurate for what it is, light, and dead nuts reliable. Only downside is the low capacity.
Kahr P380 is by far the best .380 on the market. Nothing else comes close, except maybe the Kahr CW380.
Rohrbaugh R9 9mm pistol is my favorite pocket gun. The S&W 642 is right up there with it, but it's a tad bulky.
LC9 is what I carry. The new LC9S is striker fired and has a better trigger.
Ruger LCP but I've found myself pocket carrying a PPS in cargo shorts mostly this summer.
I don't carry a pocket auto anymore. My experience is with a KT P32 & a Ruger LCP. Reliability, shootability and less than acceptable (to me) ballistics have steered me to J-Frames. For me they carry just as easily and I shoot them better.
Now when I pocket carry (rarely) I use a S&W 438 or a S&W 442. Cheers! -JC |

No 380 auto here. Another Airweight 38 carrier. I can shoot it about as well as anything I own.

When I can't carry a .40, a Kahr P380 in the cell phone pocket of my VertX pants. A spare mag in each front pocket.

I would be skeptical too but the TCP is actually made in America, & the video posted by The Truth About Guns said their local range put 10k rounds through one with zero repairs. |

My favorites are the Ruger LCR and LCRx.
But sometimes I carry an S&W 351c or 43c. Haven't had much luck with pocket autos. |

I am amazed at some of the weapons mentioned as pocket pistols. I had a Kahr PM9 and it would fit as pocket pistol when wearing cargo shorts. But for any dress the Kahr P380 was the best of the 380's and mine had the night sights, most others have less than adequate for sights. I had Kel Tec, Diamondback,Ruger before settling on the P380.

I gave up 380ACP & 32ACP pocket pistols long ago in favor of the M640/M642 or any for that matter.
With a S&W J frame I can put 5rd into a clover at 7Y I can also shoot respectable 5rd groups at 25Y With the pocket pistols 380/32 I couldn't get clover group at 7Y or get good groups at 25Y Plus I like the fact that my revolver can do things a pocket 380 cant. NO barrel/slide set back Able to hold and fire in jacket pockets 38spl / 38spl+P has better performance |

The OP was not asking what is your favorite pocket pistol, but which one in .380 if you do have one. If you like something other than .380 fine, but that is not what the post is about. My wife and daughter like the SIG 238, because they are both small frame they cannot "rack" the slide on the normal "blowback" .380 guns.. I also have a AMT Backup that I shoot at times and it works well. The SIGs are both reliable and accurate (as much as you need a small gun to be). The AMT is reliable but stings the hand with defense loads. |

I'm glad that the women of your family are satisfied with 380...the rest of us can handle a bit more firepower. |

There is a difference between not being able to read & choosing not to. OP asked for .380 pocket pistols & everyone wants to talk favorite carry piece, regardless of pocket size.
Nano / DeSantis Nemesis fits fine in my back pocket, ymmv. TCP disappears into pockets & fits the .380 requirement. |

Anything carried in pocket is up for discussion for a technical comparison's sake in the spirit of a forum. Cheers! -JC |

Tried a few different ones. Have settled on a Kahr CM9. It is 100% reliable, has more punch than a .380 and I can make it dissappear in waistband or pocket. Been carrying it for 2 years with no problems.
