Found this for sale locally. I don't know much about hi powers and it seems the seller doesn't either. I can try to get more pictures if that helps but from the two pictures here is it a decent little gun? Any guess as to the value? I typically use the EE or GB to estimate a value but that's damn near impossible with these it seems since so many variants exist. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not an expert, based on the serial number looks like it was made before 1954.

Has an internal extractor, they seem to be rare now and fairly expensive to replace.if you ever need one.

So not worth the 400?

If you are looking at it as a collector, it could be worth the 400, if you are looking at it for a shooter, I wouldn't bother.

AIM has had several high powers and FEG high powers come through from 239-439 and I would put yourself on their notify list and get a shooter with an external extractor.

Yes, it's worth $400, but as mentioned, not one you would want to shoot on a regular basis.

It's a classic first generation Hi-Power.

Internal extractor, which as mentioned are now extremely rare and would run about $100 to replace.
It also most likely has a humped feed ramp that can be problematic with hollow points.

I'll echo the sentiment that if you're after a shooter, that's not the Hi-Power you want.
