I see the Hungarian FEG Hi Powers on Classic Arms email blast this morning.

Been wanting a Hi Power for a long time.

I'm willing to spend a little more than starter prices. I would spend $700 to $800 for the right gun.

I want to shoot it when I get it, but it might see years sitting in the safe.

Any recommendations?

Don't over look the Hungarians.  Very nice pistols for the money.

For $700-$800 you can find a nice used Belgian for that price, easily. Hell my last C-series (60's made) BHP I bought for less than 500, and sold for around 700. Brand new ones run ~1k from the big box stores, but you can find them used for much less.
