Threaded barrels for my CZ-75 compact seem to be a unicorn.  Can I just buy a full length CZ-75 barrel and have it cut down & threaded?  Would that work?

I believe so, but you will also have to have one of the locking lugs milled off, as the compacts use less locking lug than the full size versions.
