Basically instead of carrying cocked and locked, just manually (any carefully) decock the hammer to the half cocked position? Or more like 1/4 cocked really, but whatever.

I didn't buy this gun specifically as a carry gun, but when it's cold enough to wear a jacket out I may carry it OWB sometimes.

Nothing wrong with carrying like that.

I carry a PCR decocked.   That essentially puts it to the half cock position.

I dont see how thats any different than carrying a safety equipped CZ with the hammer down or half cocked and the safety off.

Frankly, I love CZ's but I only carry IWB and my most comfortable holsters will not keep the safety engaged.   Therefore, I have moved to decocker models and have learned to love DA/SA carry.   It allows me to have my 3.5 lb - 4.0 lb SA with a deliberate 7.5 lb pull for DA.   To me, thats perfect.   If I ever go back to carrying my 75 Compact, Ill carry hammer down, DA/SA.

Ive tried everything and I cant get a stiff safety on my CZ's.   So for me, cocked and locked is for 1911's and BHP's.

In other words, half cocked carry is a popular and entirely reasonable way to carry your CZ.

I carry mine that way.  Carrying it in condition 1 is problematic as the safety is use a bit too far forward to reliably and smoothly take off without having to shift my grip.

Having the hammer on the quarter cock notch shortens the trigger reach just enough to make the DA pull work a lot better for me.
