I am not a hater of locks. But damn if it just seems wrong in that gun.

Besides that, she's a beauty.

I wish it wasn’t there, but I’d never be able to afford the genuine article.  I also have a similar gun in 45 ACP. It also has the lock.  If they give me any trouble I’ll grind off the little tit on the lock flag that makes it work.

Very nice.  A friend from church just got a very similar gun.  It's a 5"er.  I didn't really realize they made that many full underlugs on a 629 but now that's 2 I've seen in 2 days.  LOL.

It's a Model 29-2 unfluted cinder , full underlug with hi -vis  target sights and target trigger. min was exactly like this and the blueing was so black it looked like obsidian . They are made in stainless as well and are a mod. 629-2

When bought they shop said it was special run from Lew Horton.

Smith 386pd

357, 7 shots, ~19 ounces.

Took it out for its paces today and I am well pleased

Still dirty for the picture, the finish is fine

357 let me know it was there and I wouldn't want to spend the day with it, but 158 gr 38 was pleasant.  I had a 360 in the past and it was too punishing, this works.

Now to find a holster

You're not alone, now

just gonna keep that window open.

Really thankful I picked mine up already

I only did one string of single action from standing at 15' just to see what I could do.  I try to stick to double action.   It made me want a longer barrel.  Not need, but want

I put the OEM "Combats" back on the Lew Horton M29-3... I just got Culina's version on Wednesday and put them on the M29-5 Mountain Back Packer... They will spend some time outside in natural sunlight so the Goncalo Alves should darken up a bit with daily carry. Not exact copies of the OEM combats in the dimension aspect but they are darn close and were worth the wait. They are beautiful blonde in person with deep strikes.

@JJREA

After shooting 2 cylinders with 158 swc over 13.5gr 2400 I switched back to the VZ grips. Exponentially more comfortable.

Yeah, 158swc over 13.5gr 2400. They slipped and the vzs were a noticable difference. I was shooting my 4" Redhawk right after and it was easier to shoot.
