White grips are Altamont Bateleur Bonded Ivory
Dark grips are Eagle Secret Service Checkered Rosewood
Guns are 640-1 in 357, and 442 Pro in .38 Special

What do you think? I can't make up my mind...

Put the Altamont Bateleur Bonded Ivory grips on the 640 if your carrying .357 in it.

Only the Eagles appeal to me. They look good on either.

Ivory always looks better on a nickle / chrome / silver type finish than on a blued gun. Wood looks better on blued.

I agree, I just didn't want to say it... The ivory looks super tacky IMHO

I would pick up a 2nd set of Eagles

2nd pic - I see a pattern forming here!

The second pic is how I have them now.

I'm with you guys on the appearance of the ivory grips.
They're kinda "loud" especially for a boring, low key guy like me.
Not sure I like the way they look on either gun.

They feel great in my hand, but when I shot the 640 last night(first time out with it), I couldn't hit shit and really struggled with sight alignment.
Im usually a pretty good shot with the 442, so I don't know if it was an off night, or what.

I think the "ivories" look better on both!

I hate stainless so my only choice would be the blued gun and the eagle secret service grips.

I am of the camp of function over fashion.  If they look good but don't feel good or uncomfortable then there is no use for them as I have no safe queens.

With that said I do have some beautiful wood custom grips on a couple 1911s that also feel right in the hand.

The white looks good, but never after Labor Day.

Not a fan of the ivory color myself.

The wood looks good on either.  If it was me, I'd have wood on both.
