Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What do i need to know about S&W 29-2.

Have a local guy needing money & looking to move a 29-2. Not real big on wheel guns but always been interested. The bluing is good but has a a little rust spot on the inside of the trigger guard. What other things should i look for & what would you consider a fair value?

Many factors come into play.  Length of barrel, blueing wear, original grips, box?  Sideplate screws condition?

Check if it locks up on all 6.  Also check cylinder play as well, check youtube for videos.
