So my buddy is an FFL and had this thing lying at the bottom of his safe. New Blackhawk in .357 mag.

I asked about it and all he said what it was and then $200 and it's yours. How did I do? Anything to look out for with these? Good loads for it? And how can I restore the blueing on it?

I think so!

I've been wanting a single action for a while, or any wheel gun really. This scratched that itch just fine.

Just need to clean it up a bit.

Looks like it. Still a great buy for $200.

You can expect a great SA wheelgun. Welcome to the sickness.

That one is a new model, so it's safe to carry with all six chambers loaded. But it's old enough that it doesn't have the safety billboard on the barrel. Enjoy, that's one of the strongest and most rugged 357s ever made.

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't have noticed the missing site blade without you all pointing it out haha. Guess I need to find on of those.

Yeah pretty much this. I have one in 44mag and its a great gun. I wish it was a .357 actually. Thinking about selling it and I'd be asking way more than $200 so I'd say you did good.

You did great - just get a sight blade and shoot it . I happened to pick this up for the same price a while back (it's a 45):

Call Ruger, maybe they will send you one for free....

I had bought a used Ruger P95 once, called Ruger because it was dropping the mag on recoil, they sent me a shipping label and took care of it!

There you go, the adjustment screw is still there so it should just drop in. Or like Rifleguy said maybe contact Ruger.
