Assuming good lock-up and "good" to "very good" condition, what are these going for?
$300 seem about right?

I'm no expert, but I'd say $300 for any S&W revolver in good shape is probably at least a decent deal, possibly a pretty good deal, depending on the exact model and version.

This..

i didn't blink twice picking up a Police Positive Colt 50% blueing - excellent bore/ excellent mechanics that saw service with the Rail Road in the 1930s... for 300 shipped.

Why am i referencing colt on s&w question.. they both share the same desire amongst revolver collectors/shooters.

Closer to $350, depending on condition.  The $300 range is probably going to be beat hard.

I overpaid a little @ $399 but it is a nice like new 64-8.  It was a a small shop that caters to teaching ccw, good guy owns it.  I would buy an older version non sleeved barrel if I could get it for $300.

I got three S&W 64 from a dealer in Texas last fall for about $230 shipped and FFL fees paid. J&G still had the 64s starting at around $279 at that time. Since then J&G's supply of Brinks guns has dried up and prices have risen.

It is hard to predict if and when another lot of surplus revolvers will show up, so $300 is not bad right now.

My $230 revolver with Nills fitted.

I bought a 70% m19 a little while back for $300, I'm pretty happy with it.

old boss says that he has a wholeseller with an offer for the lot, but may try to rework it to pull a couple first. Hopefully, he will let me get dibbs on picks if this is the case.

Hell yeah, I'd buy one in decent shape for $300 all day. Love my 67.

Here is a pic of mine. It was a Brinks gun bought from CDNN several years ago for $239.
Added a Hogue grip to replace the Pachymyr.

I was at a LGS yesterday and they have these in...less than stellar condition for $275. I know nothing about revolvers, but walked out the door with a new 586.

Should I go back and get one? They are old, blued, police trade ins that look just like KCGunnr's pic. (Only blue and in worse condition)
