I have the Galco model that has a slot for strong side or crossdraw. It has the Ruger imblem stamped on it and I think I ordered it from the Ruger web site.

I used a simply rugged.
Broke in nice. And the owner was a standup guy. I ordered the same holster for a Nframe and sold the gun before I got the holster, put the holster up for sale or trade for the same holster that would fit my BH. Owner contacted me and told me to send it back and he'll send me a different one. Also I've used one of his pocket holsters for nearly 13 years now. All day,everyday |

If your hunting with it take a look a Diamond D Leathers Guides Choice. The best I've seen and owned.

An older Hunter 1100. You can find NOS still in the box (pre-bag packaging) on eBay, you just need to know the holster model you need. I've got them for several guns including my Blackhawk and all are thick leather that seem to hold up very well and easily attach to various belts like backpack belts.

I'm quite happy with my Triple K Cheyenne holster, it fits my 6.5" Single Six quite well and you can find them for a reasonable price if you shop around

Check out the Simply Rugged pancake. The name says it all as far as I am concerned. It is all I have used for a few years. I have El Paso Saddlery Tom Three Persons holsters and they are fine but I haven't worn them since I got a pancake.

I have 1 Simply Rugged pancake holster for my 4" S&W 25-5 N frame. I am quite happy with it, & the price is right. About $80.00, shipped, if I remember correctly. I am considering ordering one for my 4 & 5/8, Super Blackhawk, as I like the high ride.

IF you can find a DeSantis Duel Angle Hunter I would BUY in a second! On my last run of revolver buying I ended up picking up several. I routinely carry a 7.5 inch Super Blackhawk or a 6 inch Smith 617 in the crossdraw style when walking our property's perimeter... VERY comfortable for all day wear. Strong side is fantastic as well, that's often how I carry a four inch Smith 610. I absolutely love these holsters but I'm not sure how available they are now.
