One of the mine bosses at one mine I service had a GP100 for sale at $475 which I snatched up pretty quickly. Serial number starts with 170-8XXXX which puts it as being made in 1988 as per Ruger's website. It hardly looks like its been fired in that time. First revolver and first Ruger. How'd I do?

seams like a fair price.

I bought a new GP100 stainless 357 4" for $549 in Oct of 2015. That's shipping fees and transfer fees included.

I bought mine used a few years ago for $375.  I don't think $475 is a bad deal...they are awesome revolvers!

Good deal. I have a 4" GP100 made in '87 and I love it.
