Howdy all!

I've got a Ruger 22/45 mk 3 that is having a rather odd malfunction. When firing, the bolt will not fully return to battery until the trigger is allowed to reset. The bolt stays open by 1/2-1/4 inch.

My inclination is to replace the mainspring and do a mag safety elimination. Any other ideas?

Have you, or has anyone else, done any mods to the gun to begin with? How old is the recoil spring?



It's never a bad idea to eliminate the mag safety. Get rid of the LCI while you're at it.
