I have a series I Warrior. After reading a few threads concerning typical weight of the mainspring on a full size .45...many say it should be #23.

I also know that kimber uses #21.

Which should I be using in my Warrior....FYI it has a #16 recoil spring but I do have an #18 from Wolf that I was going to try if it matters at all....thanx in advance.

Use the heavier weight mainspring with the factory 16 lb recoil spring.

You can run the lighter weight main with the heavier weight recoil spring. The trigger pull will feel a bit lighter.

I change all my .45ACP 1911 to 18.5 lb. recoil springs to shoot full power .45ACP Ammo.

Some thoughts I wrote on 1911 springs, spring rates and combinations and recoil.
