Hey ya'll.

I just wanted to ask if you guys feel an RMR (without the battery) could survive being mounted to the rail of a .44 DE.

I know there are quite a few other sights and scopes on the DEs at times so I figure since the barrel is basically fixed the RMR would hold up.

And would you go with the low profile rail mount or the higher one?

Thoughts?

I've thought about buying one and notching/drilling and tapping the barrel to set it up like this:

Figure that would get it as close to the factory sights as possible YMMV.
