Yesterday I went by a local LGS to place an order for a shotgun and stumbled upon this baby in the used case. Agency trade-in stainless USP 40 Fullsize with good night sights and three mags for $429!!! Now, I already have a USP 40 full-size in black and needed this like I need a hole in my head but it was so sparkly and pretty...and I could't pass it up at the price. At the end of the day, I'll probably trade one of them off for a USP 9 or USP 45.

Ultimately, I've created a bi-racial couple. With any luck they'll deliver.

Oh no!

I hope you didn't buy that POS!

That one of the early models that
had problems feeding the ammo
in bullet first!

Op must be an HK rep , lol.

Good score man. I'm wanting a new gun, and really want the SigP320 now, but the one gun I like to shoot almost as much as my 1911s, because it fits right and I like the trigger, is the H&K USP. My best friend bought one for his wife and I've gotten to shoot it some, but it's been about four years now since I did. I'm going to have to get him to swap EDCs with her and bring it over here so I can shoot it again. I guess I'll try and get my hands on the Sig that same day somehow. I really want to like the Sig because I like the looks, but I've always liked the USP too. They both look like they're made for business.

It's funny, the only usps I ever see as "deals" are in .40 cal. I'd pick up another usp in a heartbeat , but I just don't want a .40.

If you have one gun in .40, the USP is the one to have as it doesn't actually have that huge noticeable recoil jump from 9mm to .40.

And the .40 tactical is pretty damn quiet when suppressed and with 180 grn ammo.

HK showed the world how to make a 40 with the usp.  All the others up to that point put a heavier spring in a 9mm.  HK designed the USP around the cartridge.  That's why is a dream to shoot.  The 40 is awesome in guns designed for it.  Sig 229, 2022, Steyr M40, I think the Beretta Storm is too.

Nice score for sure. I had a USP in 9mm years ago and traded it out like a fool. It was a police trade in and it showed  had taken a beating, but man would that thing function perfectly.

2 questions
So how much of a difference is 9mm vs .40 in USP?
Recoil in 9mm of USP vs USP Compact.

Generally not a fan of two-tones (or .40) but I'd take one of those. Sweet pistol, nice find.

thats about what I paid for my full size USP 9 many years ago. would have pounced on that so fast now it would make your head spin.

Just barely made it out of Gander Mountain without a USP Compact in 9mm in hand; girlfriend and her mom had to talk me down.  And now I see this.....the struggle is real.

If I could justify it, even in the slightest, I would just be sitting here browsing the HK board with Budsgunshop open in another tab.

<walking away>

Good score!  Just check those mags first.  :)
