Just scored this 45 tactical cheap, just picked it up from my ffl. It has a marking I've never seen before......anyone help?

That is really close to the cutoff when HK transitioned from the old style USPs to the new style. I wonder if that marking is related? Are there any other nonstandard markings on it that might indicate it was a department or governmental gun?

Edit: It could be the "Jagd und Sportwaffen" marking?

Edit of Edit: Yep, it is a Jagd und Sportwaffen gun. Refer to this thread on HK Pro: Clicken ze here

Apparently HK went through some naming shifts around the time that gun was made and a few of the guns were marked as such.
