Hello,

Just looking for a little info regarding the HK USP 45 Fullsize, I have owned a couple in 9mm and liked them Very Accurate! But have not Owned One in 45. I do Own 1911's in 45 Springfield Armory MC Operator and Milspec. A series 70 Colt was My first Hangun when I turned 21 that was 30 Years ago. I have found a Nice Clean HK USP Variant 1 with Box, Owners Manual and 2 10 Round Factory Mags for 750.00 the price seems about average for others I have seen on here in similar Condition.

I wanted to hear some thoughts from Current or Former Owners of the USP in 45acp Only as far as Accuracy, Recoil, Reloads with Copper Plated Bullets or FMJ or HP I know NO Lead in a Polygonal Barrel. I don't even reload with Lead Anymore with the Cost of Extreme Plated Bullets being about the same as Lead Bullets.
I guess this one was caught up in the Magazine Ban and has 2 10 Round Factory Mags. I know I can get 12 Round HK Mags for 45.00 each from the HK Specialist Store. Also I see the 10 Round Mags Cost More than the 12 Round Mags what's up with that? I also see that You can get Pro Mag 12 Rounders but if They are anything like other Pro Mag Stuff They are Junk!

Thank's for any Input Y'all may have.

I have a couple USP 45s and 9mm you can't go wrong. You can shoot lead through them no problem it isn't the polygon rifling that is an issue as was falsely reported. Another brand of gun with polygon rifling had head space problems with lead bullets HK doesn't have that issue. I have shot nearly 1000 rounds of lead semi wad cutters at 1130fps the old USPSA major power factor without a hint of problem. But that said when they are used up Ill switch to jacketed because of the smoke.

I have a PD trade in USP that runs awesome.  Some holster wear here and there, I actually just dropped it off to get Cerakoted.  That price seems very high IMO I have seen used examples fairly readily available on GunBroker for 5-6 hundred with at least one 12 round mag or maybe 2.   I got mine for 469 + ship and transfer from GT distributors.  Some still like the USP more then the newer HK45, that's not true for me, both are good in different ways.  I'd shop around for a better price but do not have any doubts about the robust construction, accuracy, or reliability of the USP 45.  IMO
Several have already seen this picture but I'll show it so you can see an example of what that money got me

$750 is to much IMO unless it comes with more goodies.

$600 is the most I'd pay for a used USP 45.

I did pay $1100 for a used USP Tactical 45 that retails fir $1200+ though.

Helped a fellow arfcomer out.

The Rainier 200 grain plated SWC was very accurate in my USP .45. OAL  and powder didn't seem to matter, always reliable and accurate. Recoil is clearly softer than a 1911. IMO the USP is best in .45 caliber.

I want to add that the match trigger up grade for the USP is available for $129 and is bit but not terribly tricky to install. Not up to the level of a good 1911 match trigger but very good nun the less.
