Just looking for recommendations for my VP9. I was thinking about the TLR-1 or TLR-3. Thoughts?

I am waiting for the SureFire XCI for mine. I've tried the APL, it looks odd on it and out of place, while the X300 Ultra is a great light, it is too big for my EDC needs.

I agree. The APL looks like it was made for the vp9.

TLR-3 fits on the VP9 very well and represents an excellent value for a WML.

I have a TLR-1s that was bought for my P30 and a TLR-1HL that was bought for a rifle. I prefer the MUCH brighter TLR-1HL for my P30. The center "spotlight" part of the beam is much larger in addition to being brighter. I originally thought it was going to be too bright for a pistol...I no longer feel that way! I'll probably end up buying a second HL to replace the TLR-1s.

I have an X300 Ultra on mine at the moment, I had a Kydex holster made for it with the X300 Ultra mounted. It is a tad large for the gun but it doesn't bother me. I have a TLR-3 that I've been using on my HK45CT and I think it might be right at home on the VP9 too, only concern is that I don't think the TLR-3 is going to hold up as well as the aluminum housing of the X300 Ultra. I haven't ever tried the Inforce APL but I thought about ordering one for it and putting the X300 Ultra on the Wilson Combat Beretta 92g Brig Tac.

Tell me more about this new light from Surefire, I had no idea there's was something new from them coming out.

I went  with a tlr1 hl.   I was leaning toward the x300u, but didn't want to do the extra $100.
