I do not understand why HK installs
blacked out adjustable sights on
their "tactical" models.

Anyway, I am going to change them
out to tritium's asap.

Are the replacement sights the same
ones for the tactical's & the full size
USP's?

Thanks!

OK.  I was going to post another
question in the suppressor area,
but I'll try it here first.

My intent all along for the tactical
is to be ready to purchase an
Octane .45 with the next windfall.

I have had it my mind to install
high profile sights, but I read
somewhere about sighting
through the the can, I suppose
with both eyes open, which is
a practice that I am comfortable
with. Do this with lo pro sights,
or do you guys think I should
buy the hi pro's?

Thanks!

The Tactical sights were made so that you could use sights appropriately with a suppressor. It is possible to shoot with both eyes open and use the sights, but it is not like using a red dot on a rifle. If you are going to use it with a suppressor, you would be best off leaving the Tactical high sights on the gun. That is what they are designed for.

Wait until you get your can and then try it. If you don't like it, you can change it then.

Mep adjustables, just like the originals but with tritium they're on my 45 tac as I type this and are SO MUCH better.

I didn't see them on the website
when I first looked.

I haven't purchased anything yet.

Thanks!

I am going to put some Truglo TFO's on my
USP .40 first, and I am pretty sure I would
use them on my .45 tactical, also, but I
don't find them listed for the tactical.

The other funny thing is that when I go
to Truglo's website, they have no mention
of anything for any HK, but I find them
for the non-tacticals on the web.

What's up with that?

I think TruGlo quit making sights for the HK models about a year ago.I've got 8 different HK pistols with TruGlo,standard Trijicon and Trijicon HD sights and the Truglos are my favorite by far.The fiber optic  really stands out in the daylight and the tritium is just as bright as my Trijicons. If you can still find them in stock somewhere grab them while you can.

That explains it.

The ones that i do find say not
for tacticals. Is that their way
of saying that those sights are
not suppressor height?

Thanks for the input.

I'll get two sets on order asap.

I finally ordered 2 sets of TFO's today.

$171 shipped for both sets.

I had to surf for a while to find
those. They are drying up.

Thanks for the input!

Here is me & my buddy Sootch
and the review he did on my
Tactical.

A lot of the stuff he reviews is my gear.
We used to work a lot more closely until
he moved to SC a few years ago. I went
with him to do the Head Down visit in
Atlanta to video for him, and we did
the USP footage the afternoon before.

He's a great guy. We've been best friends
for 20+ years.

Later!

John

Excellent video!   I do believe I want to replace my Tru-Dots with standard Tactical sights.   Maybe someday I can afford a legitimate USPt, but for now, I want those sights!

and get the TFO's on both guns!

I tried ordering 2 sets of TFO's from
gundealeronline. CS is terrible, live
inventory is non-existent.

Stay away from them.

Now i have to locate 2 more
sets and the left over inventory
is dwindling rapidly.

I finally found a set of TFO'S. I installed them last week and sighted them in yesterday.
I like them so far.  I hope they hold up. A friend thinks he has found another set for my .40.

Later.
